This morning you'll become acquainted with your ride for the next 2 weeks!

On today’s ride you will head out on the dirt along the Nam Xeng River, taking in beautiful views while riding through quaint rural villages en route to Pak Xeng.

From Pak Xeng you will start climbing as you head closer to the mountains, eventually passing through Vieng Kham to overnight at beautiful Nong Khiaw.

Here you can try traditional food, or for the very brave - Lao Lao - reported to be the world's strongest alcohol fit for human consumption...

After you wake, you will head out by boat going upstream along the most beautiful river in Laos, the Nam Ou, visiting remote Hmong villages along the way.

Yet more beautiful scenic countryside awaits as you make your way to Oudom Xai.

Today will be a stunning, but challenging ride passing by Stone Age villages where very few foreigners get to visit. You're way off the tourist trail by now!

You'll have unbelievable scenery virtually all to yourself. It will be a long day but well worth the ride.

Leaving early you will head from Pakbeng to Hongsa taking in yet more beautiful scenery along the way.

Onwards to Sayaboury, where you will stay at the Elephant Conservation Centre.

Here you can interact ethically with these beautiful creatures. You'll also visit the Sayaboury medical centre to learn more about these magnificent beauties.

From Sayaboury, you will head towards Luang Prabang, at Muang Nan you will turn off the main road for your final bit of dirt road by riding about 60km along the mighty Mekong River.

Thailand and some much needed beach chill out time awaits!

You'll have some more time in Luang Prabang before checking out and heading to the airport for your flight to Bangkok.

Once in Bangkok, you will be transferred to Koh Samet Island via car and speedboat.

Sadly your adventure on 2 wheels is over. Today you'll take a boat back to the mainland before transferring to BKK for your onward flight home
