2021 is set to be a big year for F1 fans, especially after some of the most anticipated races in 2020 had to be cancelled or replaced due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There are still some big races to be held at the end of this year but here, we’re looking ahead to a full calendar of Grands Prix in 2021. If you’ve got big plans to hit the F1 circuit next year, we’re here to help.
Our personal travel experts can put together a fully fleshed-out, personalised itinerary for all the top Grand Prix destinations you plan to visit next year. This means you’ll have plenty of things to do outside of race days, and a chance to enjoy the best food, sightseeing and attractions in each destination.
For example, we specialise in amazing experiences in destinations such as Singapore and Vietnam. Here are just a few of our suggestions for the best things to do in these big-hitting Grand Prix destinations:
Vietnam
Currently scheduled as the third race of the F1 calendar for 2021 (although no dates have yet been announced), the Vietnam Grand Prix will be held on the new Hanoi Street Circuit, next to the Mỹ Đình National Stadium.
There are a huge number of things to see and do in Vietnam’s capital city. You can drink in the pretty scenery at the famous Hoan Kiem Lake, gaze in wonder at the ceiling of Bach Ma Temple in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, or try the locals’ favourite egg coffee (much more delicious than it sounds).
Or how about brushing up on history at the elegant and fascinating Museum of Vietnamese History? You can even visit the Old Hoa Lo Prison with its grisly exhibits including a French guillotine, or try the world-famous Bahn My sandwich in a local café.
Find inspiration for your Vietnam trip here – you may need to spend a few days longer either side of race day, so you can see everything!
Singapore
Nearer the end of the 2021 F1 calendar is the Singapore Grand Prix, held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Downtown Core. If you’ve got some downtime on race day, you’ll get amazing views of the whole city from either the SkyPark Observation Deck or the 165m-tall Singapore Flyer wheel nearby.
Other local highlights to add to your itinerary (and there are LOTS – we couldn’t possibly cover them all here) include the bright lights of Marina Bay, the bustling Maxwell Food Centre, Esplanade Park and the National Gallery Singapore. If you’ve got time, swing by the ArtScience Museum with its incredible lotus flower architecture, and grab some lunch at the irresistible-smelling Satay Street.
Thinking of a longer stay in Singapore? Check out our trip ideas here, and remember that you can personalise any part of your itinerary.
