Blank Canvas destinations – all you need to know
During the height of the coronavirus lockdown, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) was advising against ‘all but essential travel’ to nearly all global destinations.
The good news is that this advice has now been updated with a long list of exempted countries, which includes a number of Blank Canvas destinations. These countries no longer pose a high risk to British people travelling abroad. Let’s take a closer look at a few of our favourites:
Vietnam

Vietnam has managed to successfully supress COVID-19 and doesn’t have any restrictions in terms of entry or tourism. (at the time of publication)
Thailand

Is it safe to travel?
Thailand is also on the FCO exemption list, but there are entry requirements for foreign visitors. So, you may not be allowed into the country, or if you are, you may have to self-quarantine.
Singapore

Is it safe to travel?
Singapore is also on the list of countries given the all-clear by the FCO, but there are currently entry requirements related to foreign visitors. This means that you may not be allowed into the country, or have to comply with quarantine procedures.

- Read up on public health advice and rules before you go – for example, whether the wearing of masks is required in public places.
