2020 travel hasn’t quite gone to plan, but that just means more time to spend planning incredible adventures in 2021. And at the top of our list for 2021 destinations has to be the south east Asian paradise of Vietnam. Here’s why…
Breathtaking natural scenery
Vietnam is so beautiful and unspoilt, you’ll feel you’ve stepped into another world. And you won’t be able to stop taking photos! Marvel at towering mountain ranges, terraced rice fields, glittering lakes and rivers, lush forests, stunning national parks, amazing beaches and some of the biggest natural caves in the world. If you’re looking for a true escape from the everyday, Vietnam is most certainly it.
Vibrant, colourful culture
Hit the streets in Vietnam’s cities like Saigon or Hanoi and join in the bustling café culture, or see more traditional ways of Vietnamese life in quiet villages near tranquil farmlands.

Fabulous food
We couldn’t talk about Vietnam without mentioning the food. If you think you’ve tasted good Vietnamese cuisine before, think again. Here in Vietnam, you’ll get authentic Pho soup, the freshest of spring rolls, a dazzling choice of dipping sauces, huge seafood pancakes and much more. You’ll love it.
The People!
Of all the attractions we’ve mentioned here, Vietnam’s best asset has to be its people. This is what makes Vietnam experiences so memorable – the smiles, offers of help and warm hospitality you’ll receive wherever you go.
There’s so much to love about Vietnam, it would be impossible to cover it all. Whether you’re seeking serenity and white sands on a quiet beach, a challenging hike in forest-covered mountains or a delicious tasting tour of the local market – you’ll find it all here in Vietnam.

What’s the COVID-19 situation like in Vietnam?
Right now (in summer 2020), Vietnam is included in the list of countries exempted from the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice against ‘all but essential travel’. This means that the FCO deems it a low-risk destination for British nationals in relation to coronavirus.
However, Vietnam itself has temporarily suspended issuing visas to foreign nationals. This means that at the moment, travel to Vietnam isn’t possible – but that could all change in the coming months.
Countries are keen to open their borders and kickstart their tourist economies as soon as it’s safe, so it’s likely that Vietnam could start welcoming foreign visitors back again.
