The area of Nong Khiaw was mostly overlooked until the Nong Kiau Riverside project began in 2004.
This project set up a few bungalows and nestled them among the rolling hills in northern Laos. They have quickly become part of the natural environment; the entire operation is eco-friendly and inspires people to come and explore this wonderful area.
Nong Kiau Riverside is by no means a luxury hotel – the electricity might cut out now and again and there’s no air conditioning.
However, it has all the fixtures and fittings you need for a simple base to explore the tall mountains. It’s a quiet, remote and beautiful place; perfect for adventurous types looking for a challenge.
