Pindaya Inle Inn, Pindaya
Simple - £
Introduction
The Pindaya Inle Inn is hidden among the Shan Hills in Pindaya. Tall and ancient banyan trees surround each of the chalets, and the entire resort has fantastic views of the Pone Taloke Lake. Each of the chalets are unique; they’re built in a modern style but have an interesting Shan twist to transport you back to a simpler time.
This inn acts as a great base for exploring the Shan Hills. From here you can travel to Danu, Pa-O and Paulung. These areas host colourful markets and are home to a few traditional enterprises such as mulberry paper makers, pottery makers, basket weavers and more. See what you can find out about them during your stay.
During your stay you can even climb up to the Yasagyi peak. It’s 5,360 feet high, but well worth the trip. Try to visit the Shwe Oo Min Pagoda, too; the intricate details of this temple will take your breath away and give you an insight into local religious culture.
Facilities
The on-site restaurant serves a range of cuisines, including local Danu dishes as well as Chinese, Myanmar and European staples.
Visit the spa for a traditional massage or facial. A treatment here will ease any aches you have from a day of sightseeing, and leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the next stage of your trip.
The inn has a fitness centre if you want to keep on top of your daily workouts, or you can stroll around the lush green gardens and just enjoy this wonderful destination.
Why We Love It
The Pindaya Inle Inn is simple, but it makes a great base for exploring the rest of Pindaya and the Shan Hills. It won’t break the bank, and it will give you a fantastic escape from the busy cities.
