Mushara Bush Camp, Etosha National Park
Excellent - £££
Introduction
Not too far from the Von Lindequist gate, the Mushara Bush Camp is a relatively new accommodation option in Etosha National Park offering 16 en-suite rooms.
Staying here is an exciting experience that will bring you closer to nature, but there are also a few home comforts here, too.
It’s a great place for families to stay and it’s affordable for independent travellers too. The camp-like feel brings everyone together as a group, so you’ll soon feel like you’re among friends.
Facilities
As the name suggests, if you come to the Mushara Bush Camp you’ll stay in a tent-like structure in the heart of the bush. They’re built from canvas, wood and local limestone and have floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can watch the animals go by. These tents are spacious, airy and have a private veranda where you can spend a fantastic evening looking up at the stars.
Many of the visitors here choose to congregate in the main Bush Camp House. It has a traditional thatched roof and a very open feel to it. This is where meals are served and people reveal their wildlife-spotting story of the day – though sitting around the campfire is good for this too.
You’re likely to see lions, rhinos, elephants and even cheetahs when you go out on a wildlife drive organised by the camp – so take your camera. After a long day of animal watching, head to the swimming pool to cool off. You might see warthogs from the shallow end, so it’s a slightly unusual experience.
Why We Love It
Mushara Bush Camp makes wildlife spotting in Namibia both affordable, authentic, and comfortable.
