Introduction

Until you have seen the Namib Desert, you can’t truly appreciate how splendid the views are! Sat on the Nam Nau Habitat and Naukluft Mountains, the Namib Naukluft Lodge is the perfect base to see these natural wonders first-hand.

Within the Namib Naukluft Lodge, you will find 16 rooms that have a basic but cosy finish. Every room is en-suite, with air conditioning and a fridge. You can also enjoy the view from your own veranda.

If you want to connect to the modern world, you will find Wi-Fi in the lounge area –although you’re able to get away from it all here, you’re not entirely cut off from civilization!

The lodge serves a range of tasty locally-inspired meals in its restaurant. You can also enjoy a pre or post dinner drink at the bar.

The staff at the lodge organise the Sossusvlei Excursion; a daily 4×4 sightseeing trip into Sesriem Park, where you can enjoy some of the highest sand dunes in the world and marvel at the fantastic colours of the desert. Leaving early, you can then enjoy your picnic breakfast under the shade of the trees before continuing to Sesriem Canyon.

Sundowner drives are another popular activity in this region, and it’s easy to see why. As the sun sets, you can see a range of wild animals play, from springbok to ostrich, and many more. Drinks will be served, giving you the opportunity to just chill and look out across the cool of evening in this amazing part of the world.
