The Onguma Tented Camp is a wonderfully peaceful spot on the eastern border of the Etosha National Park. ‘Onguma’ is a word in the local Herero language that means ‘the place you don’t want to leave’ and we can see why!

The Onguma Tented Camp is the epitome of safari-chic. The blend of stone, suede, linen and steel create a modern but earthy feel that make the rooms seem closer to nature.

The camp’s lounge is another fantastic spot to watch the animals meander about, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is at its highest. You can relax with a cool drink and watch the animals do the same. You’re very likely to see rhinos, lions and other plains’ game here, so keep an eye out.

If you want to cool off even more, head to the rim-flow pool – it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the incredible view.
