The Akademie Street Boutique Hotel is a historic and romantic getaway. The hotel is made up of five separate buildings including an incredible Cape Dutch cottage, which was one of the first to be built on Akademie Street and is a key part of Franschhoek’s heritage.
This boutique hotel has three cottages and five suites to choose from and is in the perfect position to explore South Africa’s wine country and indulge in some of the finer things. A trip here will certainly be one you’ll never forget! Each room is a little different; some have their own private plunge pool and wood-fired hot tub. If your room doesn’t have a private pool, you’ll have access to a heated shared pool. These are all perfect remedies to round off a day spent exploring vineyards and climbing through the mountains.

Facilities
Every room has been meticulously designed to provide a sense of luxury, romance and comfort for visitors. They’re surrounded by glorious gardens and some have fantastic views of the mountains in the Cape Winelands. There are several peaceful spaces to sit and enjoy these views. Make sure you look up at the starry sky, as there’s little light pollution.
A delicious full English breakfast is served each morning, but the hotel staff actively encourage visitors to go out and explore the rest of Akademie Street, including the restaurants and bars.
