Introduction

Phinda Rock Lodge is one of the most dramatic places you can stay in the Phinda Game Reserve. It’s set right into the cliff face that looks out over Leopard Rock. The six-roomed hotel is suspended over the deep valley below, which makes for some outstanding views. Its position makes this Lodge perfect for bird watching, but you can sometimes see a few animals here too. The ‘big five’ all reside in the Phinda Game Reserve, so keep your eyes peeled for these iconic African animals.

The beautiful and romantic suites have been made from contoured stone, but still have a warm, earthy and cosy feel. The doors from your suite open onto a private plunge pool and viewing deck. The deck is the best place to watch the animals go by (apart from going on a game drive). The rooms also have spacious en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers; this is an incredible experience as not many showers have such an amazing view!
