Rosenhof Country House, Oudtshoorn

Introduction
The Rosenhof Country House sits on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn and is in the perfect position to explore the area’s Cango Caves and ostrich farms. The homestead was originally built in 1852 and has been carefully restored to capture the essence of this period. The yellow beams and ceilings, combined with the selection of antique furniture in each room, makes the place feel really authentic.
The Rosenhof gets its name from the beautiful rose garden that’s on the site. Wind your way through its paths to the hotel and you’ll find your room, which has been uniquely decorated to reflect Oudtshoorn’s heritage. There are also two executive suites available. These have their own patio, lounge and pool, as well as fantastic views of the Swartberg Mountains, so it might be worth upgrading.
Facilities
This hotel has plenty of spaces for visitors to relax in; there’s a cosy pub, a few luxury lounges and a veranda with incredible views. All guests have access to the large outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers where they can relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Take a dip in the pool to cool off after a long day of exploring Oudtshoorn. However, if you really want to relax, head to the wellness centre. Spend an hour or two in the fully equipped gym, sauna and beauty clinic to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for the next stage in your itinerary.
