This 10 day Vietnam itinerary travels from Saigon into the Mekong Delta and on to the paradise of Phu Quoc, combining city buzz, waterways, rural life and island time in one relaxed journey. It’s ideal for travellers looking to experience a slower, more local side of Vietnam.
From narrow canals and floating markets in the delta to the open coastline of Phu Quoc, the journey shifts in setting and perspective, moving from everyday life on the river to time shaped by the sea.
The itinerary below is shown as an example route. Every journey we create is planned from scratch, and can be adapted — unless you like it exactly as it is.

Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Your adventure begins today as you board a flight to Saigon!

Day 2 - Saigon
Your guide will meet you as you touch down at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 3 - Saigon
Hop on your guide's vintage Vespa as you explore the sites and historical landmarks of Saigon in style -
You'll visit the Thich Quang Duc monument, Ong Bon pagoda, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral before ending up a cool bar to round off the night.

Day 4 - Cai Be
On your way to the delta you'll explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels - an immense network of connecting underground tunnels that proved crucial in the Vietnam War. You will then be transferred to Tien Giang for your overnight homestay

Day 5 - Can Tho
Head to Cai Thia and exchange vehicle for bicycle for a 1 or 2 hour ride along quiet paths around the village of Hoa Loc.
Later in the day, you'll cruise to Binh Island - enjoy some local food, music and then be rowed along the network of narrow canals.

Day 5 - Phu Quoc
This morning, you'll rise early and board a local boat to explore the famed Cai Rang floating market, where dozens of boats laden with fruits, vegetables and fish from all over the Delta jostle for trade.
You'll then transfer to the airport for a short hop to Phu Quoc.

Day 6 - Phu Quoc
Relax and unwind in paradise.
Visit Duong Dong Night Market for some local grub.

Day 7 - Phu Quoc
Enjoy a free day at leisure.
Head to Sao Bai to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.

Enjoy a chilled day at leisure.

Enjoy your final day on the beautiful island of Phu Quoc.

Check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon and then connect to your onward flight home.
