Between Two Chiangs: Thailand’s Epic North

Day 1 - Overnight Flight
The adventure begins as you board your overnight flight to Chiang Mai!

Day 2 - Chiang Mai
Touch down in Bangkok and meet our representative who will fill you in on your exciting trip ahead while transferring you to your hotel.

Day 3 - Chiang Mai
Hop on a bike and tour the magnificent city of Chiang Mai. Glide through quiet green land roads, passing temples and ruins and continue to Ping River and soak up the local atmosphere.

Day 4 - Chiang Mai
Today, explore the Waroros fresh food market and then drive through different parts of the city, passing old city walls, gates and on to the main street to visit Wat Chedi Luang.
Then, visit the reclining Buddha before a driving to Wat Pra Singh and Doi Suthep - the most revered temple in the North.

Day 5 - Doi Angkhang
After some breakfast, embark on a drive to Doi Angkhang where you can visit the fascinating Royal Angkhang Agricultural Station Project.
In the afternoon, visit Kob Dong village and Nor Lae village which is situated on the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Take a stroll uphill to take in the incredible views over the mountains and valleys.

Day 6 - Doi Angkhang - Pai
Leave Doi Angkhang and drive through the spectacular mountain route to Mae Malai and visit Kongland - an amazing scenic point with breathtaking views of Pai.
Check-in to your hotel before continuing over the famous iron bridge and stop off at the beautiful Mo Peang waterfall and Tha Pai Hot Spring. After some lunch, visit more stunning temples.

Day 7 - Pai
A rafting adventure awaits today. Head to the Suza waterfall and start paddling until you reach the Pai River where you'll take a break with a picnic.
After lunch, continue paddling upstream reaching hot springs and then descend the Rising Stone rapids. Continue rafting through the Pai Gorges until you reach Mae Hong.

Day 8 - Mae Hong Son
Leave Pai and drive through the jungle-clad mountains towards Mae Hong Son. On the way, visit Lisu and Lhau Hilltribe villages and stop to see the bamboo bridge of Su Tong Pae surrounded by rice fields.
Then, visit the fish cave before lunch at a local restaurant and then hop on a long-tail boat for a cruise along the Pai River until you reach Neck Karen Paduang Village where the local women wear numerous brass coils around their necks.

Day 9 - Mae Hong Son
Enjoy a free day at the hotel with of choice of activities on offer including a scenic nature trail.

Day 10 - Mae Hong Son - Chiang Mai
Check out the early morning market in Mae Hong Son and visit Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo on the hill overlooking the quaint town. Visit more temples including Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang before transferring to the airport for a flight back to Chiang Mai.

Day 11 - Chiang Khong - Lanjia Lodge
Today you will be heading to Lanjia Lodge. Drive to Chiang Khong and experience local life in the Lahu community. Go for a walk along the trails of the Mekong River and take in the views of the valleys while walking through plantations, corn fields and bamboo huts.
Learn about the Hmong Hill burial ground and see the local farmers at work before enjoying a magical sunset over the mountains with dinner and a traditional Hmong performance.

Day 12 - Chiang Rai
Learn about the fascinating culture of the area and the activities that effect the Mekong River. Watch a presentation about the Hmong and Lahu tribes, the Golden triangle area and giant catfish.
Tour the hill tribe villages and drink tea with the sharman, learn the importance of the fireplace, learn how to make hankerchiefs with Hmong ladies and much more. Afterwards, grab some lunch on the charming terrace looking over the Mekong River and Laos.

Day 13 - Chiang Rai
After checking out of your hotel you will be transferred to Chiang Rai city where you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 14 - Bangkok
Bangkok is calling - check out and transfer to the airport for a flight to the bustling Bangkok.

Day 15 - Bangkok
Experience an unforgettable tour of Bangkok starting with a tuk tuk ride to see the likes of; the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha and Wat Pho. Continue to the Emerald Buddha temple - Thailand's most important and sacred Wat and then explore Wat Pho housing the gigantic Reclining Buddha.

Day 16 - Overnight Flight
Your Thailand adventure has unfortunately come to an end. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
