Yoma Cherry Lodge, Ngapali Beach

Mid-range - ££

Introduction

The Yoma Cherry Lodge is nestled within a forgotten village in a hidden bay at Ngapali Beach. It’s a charming and rustic destination surrounded by tall palms and fantastic views of the shoreline. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a beachside retreat.

There are 15 rooms at the lodge, split between the Garden Pavilion and the Beach Pavilion. As the names suggest, this means you’ll either be surrounded by exotic greenery or be right on the shoreline. Wherever you choose to stay here, it’s sure to be luxurious and close to the tranquil waters of the Bay of Bengal.

Facilities

The hotel’s restaurant serves fresh seafood every day and offers local and western dishes, to suit your preference. Try as many of the Rakhine dishes as you can as they’re slightly different to traditional Myanmar cuisine (in the best possible way).

The hotel staff will be happy to help you arrange activities throughout your trip. For example, you can go line fishing or snorkelling – either in the nearby area or in the surrounding islands.

Pearl Island and White Sands Island are two of the most popular places to swim. The azure blue waters are incredibly inviting and there are hundreds of colourful fish and corals to discover.

Keen golfers can also head to the world-class Ngapali Golf Course to practise their swing. You can take a bicycle tour of the surrounding area and experience the local way of life. There are a few markets that you must visit during your stay; you’ll get a taste of the local food and might come away with a souvenir or two.

Why We Love It

The Yoma Cherry Lodge is a little smaller than other resorts in Ngapali Beach, however its charm and peaceful setting make it the perfect spot for a beachside holiday.
