Simbambili Game Lodge, Sabi Sand
Deluxe - £££££
Introduction
The Simbambili Game Lodge is hidden among the knobthorn and jackalberry trees that sit alongside the Manyeleti River in Sabi Sand Wildtuin in Kruger National Park.
Animals often come to this river to drink, so this position gives visitors a great chance of seeing some of the ‘big five’. Sabi Sand is known for its large number of leopards, which makes this area a bit special, so keep an eye out for those.
The suites have been designed in a Moroccan style, with warm colours and a few indulgences to make your stay at the Simbambili Game Lodge even more comfortable.
Each suite has its own plunge pool and a deck that overlooks the waterhole and the beautiful savannah. But don’t worry, the suites have been positioned in such a way that your experience will be very private.
Facilities
The lodge organises daily game drives with rangers who really know the bush. They’ll help make sure you see as many animals as possible during your stay.nThe staff also organise walking tours and sessions with local Shangaan people who understand the local environment better than anyone else.
All your meals are provided for you at this lodge, and they’re either served out in the bush or in the lovely indoor or outdoor dining areas. Make sure you visit the gym and spa during your stay; it’s a great spot to relax and rejuvenate yourself before you go out and explore the Bushveld.
Why We Love It
We love the Simbambili Game Lodge as it’s a great spot to watch the animals go by and indulge in a little pampering. It’s also one of the only lodges in the area to be wheelchair accessible.
