On The Trail of the Orangutan: Paradise in Borneo

Once you touch down at Sandakan airport, you will be driven to Sandakan Memorial Park for a quick stopover to learn about Sabah’s fascinating role in WWII. Then, you will be transferred to Sepilok where you'll stay overnight.

After breakfast, depart for the famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, one of the only places in the world to see Oranugtan in their natural environment!

Experience a feeding session before heading to the Sun Bear Conservation Centre nearby. These gorgeous creatures get less attention but they're well worth spending time with.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure or alternatively you have the option of visiting the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary or a night walk of discovery trails.

This morning, your guide will take you to Sandakan Jetty where you will hop on a boat and cruise to the Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort.

This two-hour boat journey passes by local villages and lush rainforest providing excellent wildlife-spotting opportunities. It's quite the adventure!

In the afternoon, cruise back up the Kinabatangan River with your expert guide in search for more wildlife including; proboscis monkeys, elephants, hornbills, gibbons and a range of birds.

Rise early with the birds and other animals of the jungle for an unforgettable river cruise to Kelenanap Oxbow Lake. Then, pay a visit to the local fishing village, - Kampung Abai.

Here you can interact with local Orang Sungai river people before heading back to the resort for some food and to enjoy the rest of the day among the wildlife.

Enjoy more river cruising during the day, after dinner embark on a night walk along the boardwalks on a lookout for creatures and critters of the night.

The stars in this part of the world are truly a sight to behold, as is the total silence but for the noise of the natural world.

After breakfast, feel free to explore the nature board walk around the lodge area. Make sure to bring along the binoculars, and try to spot wild orang utan, Silver leaf monkeys, birds among other species.

Then, you'll be taken back to Sandakan by boat, passing fishing villages along the coast.

Transfer to the airport to Kota Kinabalu where you will hop on another boat from Jessleton Jetty to Gaya Island - a charming, striking, paradise - and your home for the next few days

Experience a fascinating tour of the Batu Caves - an impressive series of cave temples set in towering limestone hills and on the way back see the Royal Selangor Pewter factory.

This evening you could head for Atmosphere 360, which boasts divine, panoramic views of the city.

You are in for an exciting treat for the last day of your honeymoon. Transfer to Putrajaya and ascend on an unforgettable balloon ride over the region. Ascend slowly over the surrounding buildings and be enchanted by a sunrise that paints the city in rich colours - a magical experience in the air.

Touch back down on the ground and enjoy breakfast at a top hotel before heading out to explore the city of Putrajaya. Start at the Agricultural Heritage Park, Taman Warisan and continue to Dataran Putra, the Palace of Justice, the Prime Minister’s Office Complex and the ethereal Putrajaya Mosque.
