Romance on the River Kwai

This 2 week Thailand honeymoon itinerary combines culture, nature and beach time, creating a balanced journey through some of the country’s most memorable experiences. It’s ideal for couples looking for something more thoughtful and personal.

The journey moves from the energy of Bangkok to the landscapes and elephants of Kanchanburi on the River Kwai, before slowing down on the Krabi coast. It’s designed to create a natural sense of progression, with space, variety and time to properly unwind along the way.

The itinerary below is shown as an example route. Every journey we create is planned from scratch, and can be adapted — unless you like it exactly as it is.

Day 1 - Overnight Flight

The adventure begins as you board your overnight flight to Bangkok!
Day 2 - Bangkok

Meet your guide at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport who will transfer you to your hotel.

Enjoy the ultimate romantic date. You'll be picked up before boarding a rice barge for a cruise along the Chao Phraya River, passing several significant landmarks including the Temple of Dawn and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

After the dinner-cruise, ride on a Tuk Tuk to a rooftop bar with breathtaking views of Bangkok's Grand Palace.
Day 3 - Bangkok

Discover Bangkok's rich history by exploring two of its most famous temples - Wat Traimit and Wat Pho. Wat Pho houses the enormous Reclining Buddha which is an unmissable sight.

Later unwind with a traditional therapeutic Thai massage.
Day 4 - Bangkok

A stint in Bangkok is not complete without sampling the delicious street food. In the evening, head to Chinatown to watch the vendors at work and tuck into a range of authentic dishes
Day 5 - Kanchanaburi

Transfer from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi. Here you'll check into your romantic floating suite at the Floathouse River Kwai resort.

The scenery is spectacular & atmospheric.
Day 6 - Kanchanaburi

Kanchanaburi Province is home to Elephants World, a non-profit sanctuary for sick, old, disabled, abused and rescued elephants.

Help out and take part in feeding and bathing the elephants, all for a good cause.
Day 7 - Erawan National Park

Today you'll head off into the Erawan National Park - known for its beautiful and spectacular waterfalls, that flow with turquoise water.

Absorb the peace and tranquility of this magical region, and be sure not to forget your camera!
Day 8 - Krabi

Time to leave the jungle behind and head for the beach. You'll transfer to Bangkok airport for a short flight to Krabi.

Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the beautiful Tubkakk resort. A boutique with staggering views over the Andaman sea and its dramatic limestone karsts.
Day 9 - Krabi

Spend some alone time in peaceful Krabi.
Day 10 - Krabi

Enjoy another free day at leisure in this stunning part of the world.
Day 11 - Hot Spring And Emerald Lagoon - Krabi

Head a local hot spring in the Klong Thom District. Explore breathtaking scenery in the rainforest, discover the Emerald Lagoon and visit the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua).
Day 12 - Krabi

Spend the next couple days unwinding in beautiful Krabi.
Day 13 - Krabi

Enjoy the last day of your honeymoon in Krabi.

Treat yourself to a romantic, candle-lit, meal on the beach
Day 14 - Overnight Flight

This morning you'll be transferred to Krabi airport for your onward flight home.
