Laos Great Outdoors: The Northern Route
This 12 day northern Laos itinerary travels from Luang Prabang to Muang La, Nong Khiaw, Vang Vieng and Vientiane, combining mountain landscapes, river valleys and quieter northern regions in one varied journey. It’s ideal for travellers looking to experience a more remote and nature-led side of Laos without venturing to the south.
The experience is shaped by time spent in the landscape itself, from remote valleys around Muang La to the Nam Ou River near Nong Khiaw, where each stop feels more about immersion and pace than ticking off highlights.
The itinerary below is shown as an example route. Every journey we create is planned from scratch and can be shaped entirely around you — unless you like it exactly as it is.
